NRA Reopening Guidance

The National Restaurant Association has created a great resource for restaurateurs called, COVOD-19 Reopening Guidance. This guide is meant to provide information on how to best navigate your reopening and phased plans to ensure your restaurant is compliant and safe for your employees and customers.

FDA’s Best Practices

The FDA compiled a list of best practices that retail food stores, restaurants, and food pick-up/delivery services should abide by during and post COVID-19 pandemic.

Determining Risk

John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Center for Health Security has put together a toolkit for business owners who are planning to reopen or expand operations to determine the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and how to reduce it. The toolkit includes an instruction manual, a business risk worksheet, and an assessment calculator.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act

The FFCRA requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. To date, the provisions of this act will be in effect through December 31, 2020. If your restaurant meets the staffing and size requirements to be under this act, you will need to make sure you are following the guidelines set to provide paid sick leave and medical coverage to your employees that are affected by COVID-19.
