Inside Mastercard’s Digital Doors Marketing Hub

We love marketing here at ARF Financial, so our eyes are always on the lookout for new developments in this space. Recently and in celebration of Small Business Month, Mastercard announced enhancements to its Digital Doors® program. Now outfitted with new partnerships and a Marketing Hub, this launch offers small business owners “an expanded suite of innovative tools, resources and benefits” to enhance operations and accelerate growth—all in the digital space. Here’s what you need to know.

Digital marketing is in a class all its own. Consumers today operate almost entirely online, doing everything from shopping for groceries to buying a car via a cellphone or tablet. If a task can’t be done online, a lot of customers won’t even try. Research reveals that the average global internet user spends nearly 7 hours a day online; if that’s where everyone’s attention is going, then we can safely say that’s also where a small business owner should be focusing their marketing strategies. A lot of business owners don’t have the time or resources to unpack the expansive world wide web—and that’s where heavy hitters like Mastercard are hoping to help out.

Research conducted by Mastercard found nearly 50 percent of small businesses are in “growth mode,” with their sights set on expanding operations in some capacity. But 40 percent are in just the beginning stages of even learning what digital capabilities are out there. That’s where Marketing Hub comes into the picture. According to the press release, Marketing Hub “will unlock resources to help small business owners market their business to recruit new customers and create meaningful touchpoints with existing customers. Mastercard Digital Doors® builds on the company’s global commitment to financial inclusion, pledging to bring a total of 1 billion people and 50 million micro and small businesses into the digital economy by 2025.”

Within the Marketing Hub customers will find a slew of resources in the Knowledge Center, crafted to help small businesses overcome marketing challenges, expand their digital capabilities, and grow their business. The Marketing Offers section houses discounts on digital software and programs like Triple Whale and Hootsuite. And then there’s Ad Designer, a free design tool that offers templates to help users build social media assets, promotional ads, and more.

Digital Doors® also hosts regular webinars covering a range of marketing topics. Check out the upcoming events here.
