Celebrating Independence Day At Your Restaurant

Celebrating Independence Day At Your Restaurant

Celebrating the Fourth of July usually means big gatherings for cookouts and fireworks. This year, we’ll be lucky to be able to gather in groups of ten and of course while being socially distant. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on the larger festivities this year, that doesn’t mean all that potential revenue is lost for your restaurant. Here are some ways your restaurant can help your customers while celebrating Independence Day at your restaurant and still abide by any pandemic rules.

Create To-Go Picnics

Give your customers the option to enjoy a full picnic-style meal from your restaurant by providing family meals to-go with all the fixings. You can also give them the option of cooked or uncooked meats so the grill fanatics can still enjoy firing up the grill and not need to worry about hitting the grocery store to piece together their meal.

Add Fun Add-Ons

Nothing says Fourth of July more than fireworks. Partner with a local vendor to set up a fireworks stand near your restaurant and provide vouchers for free sparklers with a meal to give them a little spark with their meal. Or, you could send the kids home with fun Fourth of July coloring sheets or other activities to do at home. Going with a picnic theme? Add a checked tablecloth and disposable utensils with their meal to be a true one-stop for their picnic. If you have a bar, create some fun Fourth of July drinks for both the adults and the kids to enjoy.

Outdoor Activities

While many people are still wary of congregating indoors, outdoor activities are starting to pick up in popularity again, with social distancing of course. If you have the space available to create outdoor activities, go for it! Setup an outdoor American-themed karaoke contest (no touching the mic though!), have a best patriotically dressed pet contest for guests to bring their pets in their red, white, and blue gear, or go with an old favorite like a watermelon eating contest.

While the rules may be a bit different these days, there are still ways to have fun and promote your restaurant.

If your restaurant is going to be open for the Fourth of July, make the most of this favorite summertime holiday. Keep the Fourth specials going all weekend long and remember to have fun while celebrating Independence Day at your restaurant! Your customers will be very appreciative that you’re taking the time to make their holiday special with less hassle and more time to spend with their family and friends.
