Loeffler recently outlined the SBA\u2019s top priorities over the next four years, which stand to help create a &#8220;golden era of prosperity and growth&#8221; under the Trump administration. Let\u2019s take a look inside her\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trumps-new-sba-chief-reveals-day-one-priorities-transform-agency-golden-era-prosperity\" class=\"broken_link\">&#8216;Day One\u2019 memo<\/a> and see what\u2019s in store for small businesses across the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Boosting U.S. Manufacturing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.score.org\/resource\/infographic\/infographic-manufacturing-small-business#:~:text=Factories%20or%20bakeries%2C%20machine%2Dpowered,manufacturing%20drives%20the%20US%20economy&amp;text=Did%20you%20know%20that%2098.6%25%20of%20manufacturing%20companies%20are%20small%20businesses%3F\">overwhelming majority<\/a> of manufacturing companies in the U.S. are small businesses. As Loeffler <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/trumps-sba-chief-unleashes-day-125407772.html\" class=\"broken_link\">states in her memo<\/a>, &#8220;This agency is committed to supporting the America First agenda by rebuilding American supply chains and investing in manufacturing to strengthen our economy and national security.&#8221; The current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sba.gov\/about-sba\/sba-locations\/headquarters-offices\/office-international-trade\">Office of International Trade<\/a>will be rebranded as the Office of Manufacturing and Trade, and focus on economic independence, creating jobs, and fair trade. The SBA also plans to work across agencies to grow our manufacturing and tech startups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Spending and DEI Efforts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On par with President Trump\u2019s concerns over DEI initiatives in the federal government, Loeffler plans to stay close by enforcing those executive orders, such as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/defending-women-from-gender-ideology-extremism-and-restoring-biological-truth-to-the-federal-government\/\">Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government<\/a>,&#8221; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/ending-radical-and-wasteful-government-dei-programs-and-preferencing\/\">Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing<\/a>,&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/unleashing-american-energy\/\">Unleashing American Energy<\/a>.&#8221; She also applauds Elon Musk\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Department_of_Government_Efficiency\">Department of Government Efficiency<\/a> (DOGE) and will work closely with this organization to \u201censure American taxpayer dollars are utilized in the most productive way possible to benefit small businesses and economic growth and resilience,\u201d per the memo. The elimination of wasteful spending and fraud will be a zero-tolerance policy that stands to investigate all government programs, implement a \u201cFraud Czar,\u201d and conduct an agency-wide audit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ending Voter-Registration Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taxpay-funded voter registration is also on the chopping block, starting by eliminating the SBA\u2019s <a href=\"chrome-extension:\/\/efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj\/https:\/www.congress.gov\/118\/meeting\/house\/117495\/documents\/HHRG-118-SM24-20240724-SD002.pdf\">Memorandum of Understanding<\/a> (MOU) \u201cwith the Michigan Department of State to promote civic engagement and voter registration in Michigan.\u201d When it was launched, the SBA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2024\/03\/19\/2848827\/0\/en\/SBA-Administrator-Guzman-Announces-Agency-s-First-Ever-Voter-Registration-Agreement-with-Michigan-Department-of-State.html\">touted this agreement<\/a>: \u201cThrough this memorandum of understanding, the SBA will help connect Michiganders to vital voter registration information from the State of Michigan so that more small business owners can exercise their right to vote. Small businesses are busy working on and in their businesses, and by meeting them where they are \u2013 on our website and at our small business outreach events \u2013 we can help facilitate voter registration and civic engagement so their voices are heard.\u201d\u00a0 According to Loeffler\u2019s memo, rescinding this agreement will allow the SBA to \u201creturn its focus to its founding mission of empowering job creators, delivering disaster relief, and driving economic growth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we settle in with a new administration, we\u2019ll continue to keep an eye on the latest news coming from the SBA.
