Why, you ask? There are billions of smartphones across the globe. We\u2019re attached to our devices 24\/7, sending and receiving thousands of text messages a month. If you want to grab someone\u2019s attention, texting is where it\u2019s at. From brand awareness and engagement to coupon delivery, SMS messages are a true workhorse to have in your marketing arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason SMS messages are so effective is because by nature, they are short. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.3cinteractive.com\/blog\/5-best-practices-text-message-marketing\/\">Best practices<\/a> dictate keeping them to 160 characters to ensure they\u2019re sent to phones as a single message. It\u2019s that brevity that catapults SMS messages above emails, seeing as consumers have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.campaignmonitor.com\/blog\/email-marketing\/2018\/05\/how-to-send-email-for-eight-second-attention-span\/\">attention span<\/a> of about 8 seconds\u2014the perfect amount of time to read a text!<\/p>\n<p>Consumers respond so positively to SMS marketing in large part because they have to opt-in to receive your messages.
