We are cautiously optimistic that businesses will be allowed to open soon as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/news\/local\/governors-talk-reopening-strategy-as-covid-19-curve-flattens-further\/2371213\/\">states<\/a> talk about their re-opening strategies. However, we expect the transition back to normal to be slow with only a few patrons in stores and restaurant dining rooms. With that said, when could you realistically open? There are several phone calls that will help you make this decision. Your vendors and other suppliers are key to this decision and your re-opening date will depend on when they can have supplies available.<\/p>\n<p>Your staff is another key component in your decision to choose a specific date. Are they still available for re-hire? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/03\/19\/dominos-expects-to-hire-10000-workers.html\">Dominos<\/a> was expected to hire 10,000 new employees after the shutdown and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/2020\/03\/23\/instacart-hire-300-000-additional-workers-amid-coronavirus-demand\/2901764001\/\">Instacart<\/a> was expected to add another 300,000 new shoppers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/amazon-has-hired-80-000-workers-out-of-100-000-plan-announced-weeks-ago-11585840027\">Amazon<\/a> hired 80,000 in March with a plan to hire 20,000 more in April.
