Think of a hot dog as a true vessel for your creativity, topping it with any number of unusual ingredients\u2014from house-made mayo and pickles to grilled fruits and fire-roasted peppers. We\u2019ve even seen a peanut-butter-and-banana dog, which definitely had our taste buds piqued.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Apple Pie<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You don\u2019t really have to put a spin on apple pie, as it\u2019s pretty perfect just the way it is. But if you\u2019re so inclined, serve it with a unique and complimentary ice cream flavor, like cinnamon chip, cranberry, or peanut butter. You also can\u2019t go wrong with vanilla\u2014you don\u2019t need to mess with success! Another fun way to add apple pie to your menu is by hitting the bar. Consider celebratory apple pie Jell-O shots, apple pie sangria, or an apple pie milkshake.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Corn on the Cob<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfyi.org\/news\/articles\/farmers-opt-for-alternatives-to-knee-high-by-fourth-of-july-saying\">old saying<\/a> among farmers in the U.S. that their corn crop should be \u201cknee high by the 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July,\u201d which would be a good indicator of whether they\u2019d have a good harvest. Isn\u2019t it interesting then that eating corn on the cob is such a tradition for July 4<sup>th<\/sup> barbecues? Thanks to an abundance of technological advances, we\u2019re able to enjoy corn year-round. That being said, you don\u2019t need to present your guests with a boring cob and some corn stickers when they come celebrate at your restaurant. Put a twist on the standard boiled-and-buttered ear by cooking up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rachaelrayshow.com\/recipes\/26811_mexican_street_corn\">street corn<\/a>, cornbread, or even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/food-network-kitchen\/sweet-corn-ice-cream-recipe-1973733\">sweet corn ice cream<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Guests coming to celebrate America\u2019s birthday at your restaurant will likely welcome any kind of unique twist on traditionally American fare.
